Hello and Happy Holidays with Thanksgiving this week.

This past month has been a busy month here and for the good.  We bought a huge collection of Nickels and Quarters which includes a bunch of Liberty and Buffalo nickels, with special ones such as the 1918/7-D Buffalo in MS62, and a 1893 Liberty in MS66 which is a pop 12/0 coin tied among finest known.  We have some very special Quarters including early pieces such as 1796, and 1804 (which recently sold) – Our collection of “toned” coins is growing as I really believe they are so undervalued at the present time.  The originality of these toned treasures shows the beauty and quality, not having been handled or dipped out really gives a unique touch to these coins.  So many coins have been dipped out (which is not bad) that to find truly gorgeous coins with an array of colors is very hard to come by.

As for gold, we have some very, very special pieces such as an 1878 Double Eagle in PR64DCAM certified by PCGS:  A coin in which only 20 pieces were minted, and this being the finest known, also the key date quarter eagle Indian 1911-D, and the 1865 “SS REPUBLIC” Double Eagle treasure found in MS63.  Gold is selling fast and rarities are becoming harder to come by.  The 1878 Double Eagle was in a client of ours collection for years, a collection in which the famous 1804 Eagle in PF65 Ultra Cameo was in, so you know it was “PQ”.
